Yes! you are spot on, it increases the metabolic rate. You don't have to be doing physical things to burn off calories. You are more likely to be worried about something rather than severely stressed, because stressed people generally release adrenalin and nor adrenalin into the bloodstream. This can lay down in the form of fat in the body and can result in weight increase. If you are constantly stressed changes in your body metabolism can start to become permanent. A lot depends on the degree of stress/worry that you experience and how long/frequently you are exposed to it.
You will age faster, as a consequence of the above, because your engine is running on fast all the time and your quality of sleep will be poor. In metabolic terms you have converted from a tortoise into a humming bird. It simply wears you out.
You must do everything you can to prevent yourself from being constantly exposed to severe emotional stress, because it will destroy you much faster than alcohol, smoking and probably drug taking.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

RE:
Why does stress make people lose weight even when they're eating the same?
Whenever i get emotionally stressed I lose a lot of weight, even though I eat the same amount of food as normal, why is this? Does it speed up my metabolism or something? Also how can stress age you?

The body has a stress response and increases your heart rate which in turn increases your metabolism. When your stressed you dont usually eat the same amount you would when your not stressed and you lose weight but some people eat more and gain weight, so you are lucky. When you say stress ages you it doesnt, its the way you feel in yourself, it can cause heart palpations and even heart attacks. it can make you feel run down and depressed. You can reverse these feelings by exercise. Because exercise releases hormones that are good for you and helps with depression and stress. Hope this is okay.

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! Learn here https://tr.im/KcpLb
As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!
