THANK YOU. Yes, I'll share. I've never made it past 4 months without slipping. Good for you.
I went to a meeting yesterday, Saturday. I confessed that my wired-up nervous system needs some medical help to stay sober. --A minor tranquilizer, Antabuse, and sometimes a sleeping pill like Ambien.
I mentioned that I have vivid spiritual dreams, which must come from Higher Power. And that prayer and meditation have gotten me to having times, up to four months, in which I literally "laugh off" all of the irritating things in life.
I'm shooting to get a six-month coin. You'll be getting a year. I'll celebrate with my favorite drink--a cold iced tea. ( I can't
drink too much coffee, 'cuz it hypes up my nerves too much.)
I'm grateful that I have not only meetings but that even this Yahoo Answers game gives me strenth to face another day, by asking and answering questions.
You GO Girl. I needed to see this this morning. God put your message on my screen for a reason--to inspire me to follow in your footsteps.
Thank You.
-Jim-an alcoholic, gratefully with my disease not active today.

My sincere congrats.. I am feeling great :)
The sun is creeping up and the birds are singing away.. Life is good :)
Thanks for asking.
Hopefully you are having a decent day as well.
Isn't amazing how fast the time flies by after you make that mental commitment to quit a horrible addiction and find the motivation and self-worth to stay on the healthy path..
Best of Luck to ya.. Keep up the good work :)
