Stop worrying about whatever you're thinking about. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which trancends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
I like to read, which helps me to fall asleep. Nothing heavy, just some light fiction to help me take my mind off whatever problems I've been working on that day.
Warm milk before bed also helps. My son really likes that.

You should try to provide more information. Do you have a hard time sleeping every night? or only once in a while?
Do you have a lot on your mind? or is your life going pretty good and you don't understand why you are not sleeping well?
If you have coffee frequently, that could be a reason why - the caffeine may be keeping you from sleeping - soda can achieve that, too.
Is your life very hectic and stressful? That could be a reason why you find it hard to sleep. If your life is hectic and stressful, then you need to find ways to cool down at night time - let go of the stress.
I could be more helpful if I had more information.
Good Luck!

Not enough info, but here are some tips anyway. I used to have a drink before bed to help me sleep, but I have since learned that alcohol can actually interfere with sleep. So can nicotine. Of course, caffeine does too. The old custom of having warm milk can actually help, and so can a bit of turkey or even chicken. I forget what the process is, but they produce a chemical reaction in the body that triggers drowsiness. Also get plenty of exercise -- but not right before bed. A warm bath with camomile, spearmint and/or eucalyptus is relaxing and there are several self-hypnosis techniques that can be effective. Above all -- clear your mind. Even if you don't actually pray, take a few minutes lying there to think about the positive things in your life and think of something that happened that day that was personally gratifying for you. Sweet dreams, baby.
