The Best Law School would be in Sydney, but Queensland has fantastic Universities as well where you daughter can continue her studies.
Queensland particularly in Brisbane has Public Hospitals The Royal Brisbane, The Prince Alfred or known as the PA, Mater Hospital, but they also have smaller hospitals private, All these hospitals are quite large and have many areas, some are known for cardiac care and some are more for kids and mums, I am sure if you did a bit of research on these hospitals you may find what you are looking for. Please find below some links that may help you further.
Our Health system is like you NHS but there are terms and conditions on how and who can obtain what we call a Medicare card. There are several very good health care funds around as well. Most Private practise doctors do charge a fee for their services and it is refundable by medicare but not all are available, if you need operations or the such the list for waiting for them through the public system is really long on most things.
If you have good qualifications you should not have to many problems in finding work here but make sure you have all the relative visa and work credentials.

The health service is more like the NHS...
Its not deseases you have to worry about its the wildlife like the lethal and agonising spiders, snakes, jellyfish, sharks, crocodiles (ie above a certain point you don't ever think of feeding the ducks you can be 1 m away from a croc and still not see it in shallow water), velocirapter disembowling emu/ostridge like birds called cassowaries with a mohawk crest on their head etc...
That said the rest of the wild life is amazing... instead of pigeons you get wild and freindly cockatoos (which unfortunely are very loud), lorikeets in the lover pairs, the great barrier reef with all the fish and turtles etc...
Austrailia have a lot of variety... Much of were you want to live depends on what you can do... There are the tourist places like gateway towns (ie marina to the reef, hostels, hostels bars and clubs and naf all else) which are fine if you offer yacht cruises, but not som much else to stay there.
Or the cities with less to see but more to do.
Melborne has the best nightclub, cultural and alternative scenes... most other places you can dance in the corner of the brightly lit bar on your own.
Brisbane has a bit of a nightclub scene as well. Sydney not much.
The Hills around Byron bay are the hippy areas...
Its good to be near a beach (bondi ain't anything special) so they can surf and do other water sports... You can only do this south of Brisbane really...
Never went to Perth.
Or get a farm in redneck central.
Most of the time the Natives in the East at least get a hard time so not so equal.
But Queensland has amazing beaches and snorkling and diving but jellyfish in season...
This kill you in agony in minutes.
Once the boy is 18 he would love the Oxford Tavern jelly wrestle night in Sydney which was the liveliest palce and silly not sleazy.
Don't live in Kings cross in Sydney full of Brits who only drink and have kebabs like at home.
The weather is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.
Food better to.
look up www.bugaustralia.com
Dunno about specailist hospitals... Look for the main cities.
Not much in the way of night busses.
Syndey has rough areas.
Most other places are better.
Bryon bay would be nice but not suit you as a small town.

Brisbane city, because that's where i live, you could go to Melbourne or Sydney but there over priced and over crowded..... we have public and privet health care here, but I'm not sure what hospitals specialise in infectious diseases you might have to do a bit of research before coming here, but one thin I know for sure is you wont have any trouble finding a job because a lot of the hospitals are short staffed.. good luck and I'm sure you and you family will have a good life over here, oh and don't forget your sun screen because the farther up north you go the hotter...

every part of australia is the best part .if you like hot weather go north to perhaps queensland , if you like weather more mild try new south wales ,or victoria has cold winters and hot summers. there are universities all over oz and good schools both private and public. the health system is insurance if you are employed or social security gov.funded if unemployed. we have many hospitals needing good nursing staff all over oz .housing is around $135-350 per week depending on how big and lavish you want. to buy three bedroom home roughly $ 250,000 -550,000.once again depending on how lavish you want . with swimming pool etc. i wish you good luck and welcome to oz when you get here
