A 4 month old dog is fine to adapt to a new home, and a very good age for training. Beagles are very smart and adaptable.
It is also a good age to introduce to your Pomeranian. they should grow nicely together.

As far as the age thing goes you are still within a limit here that will be acceptable with very little negative result in the dog's balance or adjustment----the THING HERE IS the other dog in the house and the very close ages of the two--at this time there should be no true problems incurred but down the road a little ways there are pitfalls that await you---first of all if both animals are male or female----red flag--sooner or later there will be blood shed and vet bills---the alpha thing will take hold and one WILL BE the winner---so--you either live with this or one or both will have to be spayed or neutered----------THEN --if you have male and female you will have to face the ultimate of having pups of mixed breed (very hard to place) or once again one or the other will have to go under the knife------Best of Luck to you--from a dead serious dog lover dude

I guess it would depend on a few things--Why isn't the dog house trained yet?Maybe nobody has taught him. Maybe the guy realized that puppies are a huge commitment and a real pain in the butt till they're trained. Is the dog healthy? Has it been to the Vet for first shots, worming, and an overall check up? If not, I wouldn't take the dog, especially since you already have one, and if it has worms, or any infection it could be passed to your dog. If the dog is healthy and otherwise ok.GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would wait till the beagle is 6 months old before taking it away from its mother, as that's when most mother dogs wean their pups off breast milk, and the pups learn to become more independent from their mothers. You'll need to house train the pup when it comes to you. Introduce both dogs gently, making sure you are able to properly restrain them both should they take a dislike to each other.
If the beagle pup has already been taken away from its mother in the first place, then yes, go ahead and adopt it if you're sure you'll be able to love and care for both dogs equally. young dogs introduced to each other early usually become close friends, and are a joy to be around.
Good luck.

It would be fine to take this dog into your home as long as he gets along with the pet you already have. And that you are familiar with this breed. They are highly energetic, intelligent, but extremely stubborn. They also have a tendency to bark and howl loudly and often.
Most dogs adjust to new homes/surroundings with ease. And as for the house breaking, the easiest way to accomplish this is by using a kennel. Dogs by nature do not like to use the bathroom in their "home". I rescue stray dogs and currently have 14 dogs of all sizes and this is how I train all of them.

Yes, that's a good age to take the puppy. You could always buy a crate and train him that way. I don't see why you are unsure about accepting the puppy at 4 months. Puppies aren't to be taken earlier than 2 months, so 4 months isn't that old.

If your home is the better of the two, then sure. Dogs live in the moment and it won't matter tomorrow. All dogs should be lucky enough to have 2 people wanting them.

I got my female beagle when she was about four months old. The young man was told he had to give one of his dogs up or they both were going to the "pound". Laci is doing fine. We have had her for about a year and a half.

The younger you take it the better. You should introduce the 2 dogs in a neutral setting and let them meet first. Since they are both young, they will probably become fast friends.

I guess if you really like dogs and you can train them over time, might be good for the two dogs to grow up together, good company for you aswell...
