Good question! The 2ND commandment not to make any false gods or graven images has been removed from the catechism and The 10th split in two, which consequently makes The sabbath commandment the 3rd, not the 4th (that one has been changed to refer to Sunday instead of Saturday) But for most people it is the Sabbath commandment which says we are to "Remember" that is the one most people forget about!

I follow the commandments myself.

I think most people do it because they don't know that they are really doing anything wrong; even though, they are.

There are MANY false teachers out there, that are swaying people away from the truth.

IT's not just graven (pistures used to be engraved also in wood reliefs) but also ANY LIKENESS not just statues but paintings too.
Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

God's people obey Him. Period. God's instructions are found throughout the Bible. If we love Him, we will keep His commandments. They are not burdensome.

False Christianity has taught that the commandments have been "done away" and replaced with "grace". This is anti-scriptural. Christianity has become pagan and followers of men, not God.

We are to keep God's commandments IF we love Him. Don't listen to false teaching that says otherwise.

Drawing an image is not the same as worshiping it. If a picture of a dog gives you the uncontrollable urge to bow down and worship it, then you have more serious problems than any Christian I've ever met.

definitely DON'T look to america as a christian nation...the name of Jesus has been used and abused to carry nations through non-christian campaigns (america/crusades correlation?)...

The christian faith like all faiths has various splinter groups some are far from what Jesus of nathereth taught and indeed will be severely reprimanded if not thrown apart from God because of their deeds...Catholisism is a reference point for many outside the faith but this church has it's roots in Roman times. The romans seeing the Christians growing in number released their own version infused with their own belief system ie. Mary as a deity ect. and was used, as many faiths are, to control the populace.

They are in error.

welll....... im a Christian and even though I believe in the 10 commandments and do my best to follow them, I understand that it is very impossible to follow every single one. No ones perfect, but the 10 commandments are. Its prefectly impossible to follow all 10.

they aren't breaking theten commandments by drawing images, just if they worship those images. And the actual phrase was graven images, which means they were engraved, or made into a statue.

It is so easy to blame God for the faults of man. Christians aside. How many things do you believe in that you dont abide by all the time. It is human nature to be imperfect. It is Christian to keep trying. :)

Because we can't draw images on God, however we can draw images on Jesus considering there were people who actually saw him.

Christians never ever accepted the old Testament
Bible says; "God is not a man... not the son of man.." (Numbers 19:23) Other places contradicts this(?)
And they say Jesus is the son og God.
