I figured out she beats up the other cats so they will cry, and that means she wants to get fed. Weird but true. This happens at five in the morning and messes up my sleep. What should I do. I love her,( Shiva) but she has claws and Bobie and Shots don't, so she is the alpha kitty and always gets me up too early.

My calico is a big pig. She pushes the other cat out of the way and will eat out of one side of the bowl and have her body over the rest so the other cat can't get it. Both my cats drink out of a constant dripping bathtub faucet and if she sees the other cat drinking, she'll nudge in and start drinking. Oh, and she's mean.

Are you sure we don't have the same cat? I have a calico and she is a big pig. She pushes the others out of the way for the food. Maybe you should separate them. I love Puppy cat to but I had to let my son take her to his house so she could be outside. She loves it. If she wakes you up early put her in a room where she will be alone and hopefully you want hear her. Are the other cats male? Mine are and are more docile than Puppy cat. They are all spayed and nurtured as well.

Maybe you should establish yourself as the alpha kitty by beating up Shiva. Then you might be able to set the rules, and get some sleep.

Otherwise, lock the stupid thing in the closet or something.

Cheers!

I think you are being trained! She has established a routine. Break it quickly by pushing her to the floor and saying NO loudly. If she continues to jump up. Put her out and shut the door! Make sure she has eaten her dinner. Exert your dominance over her. Let her win at something less intrusive in your life. Like a special attention with out the other cats around. But not in the bedroom. in the living room or kitchen or porch area would be appropriate.

Ya I have a calico and talk about pigs! She sleeps by my head and is jealous of the other cat, doesn't let him near me at all. And she eats way too much, she weighs 17 pounds and the vet is after me.

I feed them separately, but she will cause hell on the tabby in order for me to cough up the Fancy Feast an hour before I have to get up. In all other ways she is very loving and affectionate.

But damn her at sunrise, she is like the devil himself until she gets her breakfast. Put out a ton of dry food before you go to bed. Works for me.

declaw her and get her fixed if she has not been already this typically calms down a cats behavior greatly.

She thinks she is the leader. You need to make her understand that you are the leader and not her.
