Yes Jesus was a Jew. He came first to His own but His own rejected Him. Even the disciples didn't preach the Gospel to non Jews until after they received the outpouring of the Holy spirit at Pentecost. However the Hebrews as a nation were supposed to have spreading the Gospel as it were to the whole world all along. They failed to do so and that is why Paul says that the true Israel are those who are believing in Christ. Not a blood descendant of Abraham. He goes so far as to say that God could make sons of Abraham out of rocks if He chose to.

Jesus was not the King of The Jews. That is the Christian belief, and not the Jewish one. It is the rejection by the Jews of Jesus that has led his followers to 'dislike jews' as you put it.

Jesus was the king of the Jews....He was actually part of the blood line of King David...The 3 wise men went to visit the baby king...they weren't just talking Hypothetically. Jews don't believe he was the son of god just a prophet. And if you research it really deeply you will find out that there is alot of validity to what they believe. Try Reading the Messianic Legacy..

i love all the answers
does anybody really know or are they just guessing
ok jesus in jewish history was a nobody
paul made up stuff about him after he was dead.. no witnesses
(as opposed to moses who had 3 million+ at mount sinai)
as such he was not king of the jews
the messia has to be from david and solomon and jesus was not from solomon
so again he was a nobody that saul (paul) of tarsis wrote fiction
this fiction became popular under roman emperor constantine cause he needed to bolster his empire
herod was not jewish he was idumean a nearby nation. herod was chummy with the roman and was made king

In my opinion, He still is. He is called the King of the Jews due to His heritage....that is He was the son of David through Nathan (Mary) and thought to be the son of David through Solomon (Joseph) and was Joseph's son through adoption. He was also the promised King that was given to generations of Jewish believers. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Blessings.

Jesus Christ is more than the King of just the Jewish nation. He is the King of Heaven & all those who are the decendants of Abraham. (The children of Faith)
