depends how old they are?????
ok try this. My mother taught me when I was little.
song with actions.

"Twenty tiny fingers" (wiggle fingers)

"twenty tiny toes" (wriggle toes)

"two angel faces" (touch face)

"each with a turned up nose" (tip of nose)

"One looks like Mommeee"

"With a cute little curl on top" (finger points down on to head and makes circle)

And the other ones got a big bald spot

Exactly like his pop, pop pop. (tap head with flat of hand.)

You will have to figure out your own tune.

How about telling them stories (not reading them out).Try to put in as much expression as possible. Try some of your own made up stories as well. They might be fascinated to hear them. Oh, u can also try to put in some morals without the kids' realising that u are doing so.That way it might be a lot of fun for them and it can also build them up for a bright future.

Make up a story with them as the central character. Include in it a lesson that you're trying to teach them. Have a happy ending, and a moral to the story. If they are like my five-year old nephew, they will request the same story every night because it's THEIR story!

My kids hate the fact I work overnights a few nights a week. So I started saying to them on my nights off, "Good night. I love you. Oh yeah, are you working in the morning?" (wait for giggle or answer) " Me either!!! So we can do breakfast? Cereal or waffles?" My kids are 6 and 3. They like it.

I would sing to mine when they were little & if they hear their 'goodnight song' even now, (they're 15 & 18) they still smile & head for bed.

"Goodnight Sweetheart, well it's time to go!
Goodnight Sweetheart, well it's time to go!
I really hate to leave you but you know I must say...
Goodnight Sweetheat, goodnight!"
