First off, I would like to say, normally I rip on questions like this, but my younger brother had problems with girls, so I can relate.
It sounds like you've tried taking the high road, and responding with kindness. You mentioned that they call you snob, and preppy, so maybe theres a class struggle here, if your family is wealthier. You made it kinda vague, no grade or age was given, and that stuff would help my answer.
In reality, why should you have to put up with this? Why go to school every day and dread these people? You have rights dam.n it! I believe that you should go to school confident and happy, as your mood will affect you grades, friendships, and outlook on life.
You might not like it, but you might want to be ruthless. I myself got teased a bit in school. Nothing too bad, but I didn't feel like taking any lip whatsoever. My suggestion, is turn the tables. Be a jerk if you have to. If someone teass you, ask them to respect you and stop making jokes at your expense. When they inevitably make fun of your response, go for the throat. If they have a sore spot, hit it. Make fun of their cheating boyfriend, aborted pregnancy, religion, belief, family, friends, poverty, clothing, behavior, all these are your ammunition should you need them.
Now I'm not saying be a jerk, I'm saying you are a good person, who tried to be nice, and deserve respect. And if these people won't respect you just because as you respected them, MAKE them respect you! You are worth it! And nobody can EVER tell you otherwise.
Keep this in mind. Respect is earned, not given.... sometimes you have to go a bit farther to earn it than you would like. Draw a line in the sand now, or this will happen the rest of your life..

My junior year of high school I took the "girls only" chorus class my school offered because it was the only way I could sing with the small ensemble at concerts and competitions. The other girls in the class were all the girls that looked at me like I was some kind of freak. They didn't really pick on me very much, but they used to make negative comments when I practiced solos with the teacher in class.

When I had had enough at the end of the first semester I told my teacher that I was dropping the class and going back to mixed (girls and boys) chorus because I didn't want to be in class with those girls anymore. He was disappointed because he thought I was a good singer and really wanted me to sing with the small ensemble, but I told him I just didn't want to deal with it anymore. I can't be sure, but I think it might have sent them a message because my senior year they were as nice as nice can be to me.

Talk to your teacher(s) to try and resolve the issues. I can't promise this will work because kids can be really cruel, and it could even give them more reason to pick on you, but if you can't ignore them it's the best thing I can recommend you do.

Good luck, honey. :) And remember - you're not alone and what goes around comes around. Those girls are probably very unhappy and picking on you is their pathetic way of making themselves feel better.

The ONLY thing they are expecting is a reaction. If you don't give them one, they will move on to the next victim. BTW, these people usually PEAK in High School. Be comforted by that. This also goes for grades below HS. They will learn, and you will be the last one laughing. Choose your reaction wisely, if ignoring them doesn't work, laugh with them or say, "Are you kidding me?" Make them look really stupid for even attempting to get a rise from you.

I know how hard it can be, but remember when people are mean it reflects on them, not you. They are immature and probably jealous. I don't believe being mean back is the answer, but sometimes it helps to call a person a "jerk" or a "creep" when they're picking on you, because you're holding up a mirror to their behaviour. Try to find people who support, you whether it's a family member, teacher, counsellor, friend outside your school etc. Good luck.

The most effective way I found to get people to stop picking on you is give them a clear message you aren't to be screwed with.... such as an amusing off-hand come back remark..... or fill a container with water, walk up to them with it, throw it all over them without blinking, then keep on walking as if nothing happened.
Or play some sort of extremely cruel practical joke on them when they ain't expecting it: http://gwally.com/pranks/

In my experience telling a teacher is just a waste of breath, since they just start doing it again after a couple of weeks.

I'm sorry sweetie, I wish I had an answer for you but I don't other than the ... just ignore them. What are they picking on you about. Does the teachers/principal know. Maybe talk to them.

More than likely you either a) smell bad b) are really ugly c) really fat d) pethetic or e) dress horrifically. Maybe more than one, or perhaps all.
So just fix it and move on.
Beside why the **** do you care what other people think. Are they you? No. So then don't let them be you.
Christ can't anyone live for themselves?

THIS IS THE ONLY ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM-

+START LOVING THE TIME AND EFFORT THESE CHICKS PUT ON YOUR SPECIAL LIFE. (YOUR SPECIAL).
IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IN THIS AS A GIFT THAT WILL MAKE YOU STRONGER THAN YOU DON'T NEED TO FIGHT IT--- AND THEY WILL GET BORED.
SOMETIMES , YOU MIGHT FEEL LONELY WITHOUT THEM TO HANG OUT WITH SO TALK TO SOMEONE YOU TRUST WITH YOUR FEELINGS. ... AND KNOW-YOUR SELF.
