sounds like a huge contradiction to me. i don't think too much of people that spend a lot of effort trying to show or prove who or what they are as i think it usually means they are covering something up, or they don't like who they are to begin with.

I don't know that I've ever met a murdering, racist nurse claiming to love God.

I really don't know what you are talking about with the nurses but I love God! I really don't think anything of a person they say that they love God! I only think that they are a Christian! What do you think about people who say they love God? Oh... have you seen veggie tales? How did you know that song?hehe!

They are self-centered because humans create Gods in their own images. Claiming one loves God is the same as claiming he loves himself. But, most don't really mean it. They are just parroting what someone told him to say.

I agree with the first answer. They're selfish. They don't believe in or love god because they truly love him, they do it because they want to go to heaven, and they're scared of "hell".
