my least favorite phrases are "that said", and "at the end of the day".
which ones do YOU think we should ban?

i don't want to ban any word (coz someone else may like them). But i found sometimes little confused and get irritated of the phrases like Whats the business/ deal?.and Anyway at the end of the sentence. Sometimes they say inappropriately.

I really don´t think we should ban any phrases however I would love it if the following were naturally phased out of common use:
"that´s gay" - homophobic
"the real world" - as opposed to what?
"the man" - I just find this obnoxious

uberdaryl had some great points. here are some phrases that irk my liver:
1) "Does that make sense?"- If it ever doesn't, you will be the first to know, ok? man. Does that make sense?
2) "Cool Beans"- Wasn't cool the first time around.
3) "Snap"- Hopefully just a fad
4) When burly, hairy, lumberjack-style men say, "It's to die for"- Disturbing.

"What it do baby" so so dumb. But with "that said" "at the end of the day" people will still be using these phrases.

I don't like 'hood phrases, like "Y'know wha' I'm sayin'?" or any phrase that uses bad English, like "Where you at?" or "It don' matter" or "Don't mean nothin'." Another double negative!
What I use is "inshaallah" which is Arabic for "God willing" or "if God wills." I've gotten so used to it, that even though I am not an Arabic speaker, I've adopted this word as my own. Oh yeah, and "alhamdulillah" as well, which means "Thanks to God" or "Thank God."

I can't think of many phrases, but there are a lot of words! Like "snuck." (It's sneaked!) "Irregardless." (Double negative!) "Awesome" when it's not really. "Like" when it's used like half a dozen times in like one sentence. And the list could go on and on...

tired of hearing anything that Paris Hilton or any other 18 year old says... and any form of ghetto speak by anyone not from a ghetto... and also people who "typ lik dis."
