That is the foundation of Christianity, so it doesn't matter what anyone thinks.
That is apparently why so many claim to be Christians.
I wonder how many would claim to be Christians if they had to pay a fine for each sin? Maybe like the legal system, $100 fine for small sins, death penalty for large sins.

True forgiveness first requires that the sinner stops performing the sin and seeks to atone for it. Forgiving someone who hasn't stopped harming others is really just ignoring the problem and giving him your blessing to do it again.

no we don't deserve forgiveness if there is something to really be worth repenting...sins are someones point of view only...we don't need to repent from our acts or ask for someone else forgiveness if you can't sleep because of some sort of repent...in this modern times church shouldn't exist no more and release all its power and possession's and free the mankind once and forever...Man let us be free once again upon this mighty Earth, Gaia mother of us all!!!

no we should not be forgiven whenever we want. But know what i don't understand? Why people lose faith in whatever god they believed in because of how people conduct their lives. Follow your own life and your own beliefs, don't worry about what other people do and don't stop believing because some people are assholes.

You have to be able to forgive yourself - that is most important.
I don't "believe in" church either - all it does is separate us from each other when we should be joining together to work towards a more peaceful existence.

Nope. The only reason given for our forgiveness was love. A love freely given. Do you deserve love?

No. We don't deserve it.
Although we are forgiven when we ask (and repent), we aren't forgiven BECAUSE we ask. We are forgiven because God chooses to forgive us. We can't demand. We can only ask.

Deserving to be forgiven is not up to you. If you want to be forgiven then stop sinning.

no forgiveness comes only when you forgive yourself and apologize and seek forgiveness from those you have sinned against.! doing evil things and then repenting only shows ignorance and weakness in faith!
