Larry J7: Chill. As for your diatribe it is apparent you are one of the many deceived Christians that believe we are free to sin because we are under grace and not the law. The price is paid, let’s party! No more guilt, shame or blame, like you said “he understands.”
Romans 6 deals with that, clearly you have not read or understood it. Have you never heard of “grieving the Holy Ghost” Ephesians 4:30. Our hurt cannot be physical to God which is Spirit, as it once was to the Messiah upon the cross, but nonetheless sin does grieve Him, pain Him and wound Him. To not know that is to not know Him. Yes, I believe that our ‘killing time’ as an colloquial expression is not only possible, but often practiced. But it will be we who suffer the burden of the cost thereof, not Christ who already paid the penalty for our sin. Ever hear of rewards and the loss thereof? If no one told you, even we Christians will be judged and punished or rewarded. As for the millions of people who ...

...supposedly turn away from Christ by “unending guilt mongering” I don’t know where to begin to answer such a foolish concept. What they turn away from is the light, the life and the truth; what they turn to, is the false religion you promise them and end up happy, ‘guilt free,’ aimless, spiritless, victims of a false gospel, false Jesus and false hope. But that’s ok, like you said “he understands.” I’m counting on it.

What is meant by killing time?
We are to be about God's business. Good stewards with what He has given us. Including our time. Luke12 I believe we sadden God when we are not faithful with what He has given us.We will answer to Him when He calls us home.So I guess after all this my answer is yes.

I started to say that you are hung up in summantics but after review of you question / covert statement here I have decided to say you are HANGING FROM YOUR SUMMANTICS--how does one come to a place that they take one questionable conclusion from the sublime to the absolute rediculous---First of all genius--you or no one else can 'kill time' --all of us are spending time (what time we have) at something even when we do nothing---and no matter what you or anyone else does ---eternity will not --can not---- be injured---it simply IS----AND THEN THERE IS THIS --WE INJURE CHRIST THING---PAL--we all have had the ultimate hand in the ultimate injury of Christ---our sin took him to the cross---what ??--now we have to bear up under the burden of feeling yet more conviction for further injury to the saviour ??? Get a grip---you--let's all live under the heaviest penalty we can because of our sin folks--just don't seem to get it---the debt has been paid---we are forgiven---we are free of this burden and even though we fail---he understands--DO YOU NOT GET THE FACT THAT IT IS THIS KIND OF UNENDING GUILT MONGERING BY SO CALLED CHRISTIANS THAT CAUSES MILLIONS TO TURN FROM THE WAY TO SALVATION FOR THEY GET A MESSAGE THAT IS MIXED AND DISJOINTED---IT SAYS ON ONE HAND --YOU ARE FORGIVEN--AND ON THE OTHER IT SAYS --YOU WILL NEVER BE FREE OF BLAME--and in THAT when you speak of injury to Christ---give THAT some thought

hmmm...

I believe there may be a proverb that may add to this question. I do not know where it is, but now will have to find it just out of curiosity. The proverb is about the servant who did nothing with what he was in control of while his master was away, I believe he was punished for not doing or for wasting time, so to speak. Not sure if it actually injures Christ, though. That may be just a lil far reaching, but hell, i been wrong plenty...

I understand the devil always makes you late to church...could I be on to something or am I just blowing his smoke? Time is a wus and always backs down the faster you go, so you probably won't hurt time or the Great E, whoever She is, by stopping for a beer.
