Judging from your other questions, you are asking this for yourself but on to answering anyways...

Just because you mentioned having a belly button piercing just because "all or their friends have" one is a reason NOT to get a piercing. It shows that the 13 yr old is not thinking of getting it because it's what they themselves like. The 13 yr old is just trying to do something to fit in with a trend or outside group. Lousy reason.

It really depends on how responsible the 13 yr old is overall. In general, I would say no because as stated earlier, that growing period is full of fads and peer pressure... which lead to wasted money. Someone else mentioned scars which is also true too.
I wouldn't say yes to this one -at least- until the individual reached an age where they could hold a real job... and I don't mean babysitting (no offense, can be a good job but too variable). Then they can pay for one themselves if they've proved to be responsible.

I don't think there's any right age for getting your belly button pierced. However, you should really think it through if you're going to get any kind of piercing or tatoo or anything that would potentially harm your body.
A belly button piercing seems pretty harmless but make sure you do your research. Some places require parental consent when getting piercings when you're under a certain age. Also make sure you know about possible scarring, infections and care when getting your piercing. Piercings come with responsibility and care, one of my cousins got a belly piercing before and she was careless and accidentally got it ripped out (somebody sat on her stomach by accident and I guess they slid a bit while on it). Make sure you thoroughly think about it , and there's no reason not to wait to make sure you're ready for a piercing such as a belly piercing.
Personally, I think if you're just 13, think about it some more, why do you really want a belly piercing? I think that's the most important question you should ask yourself. Don't do it because you think it's cool or because your friends are doing it.

No I don't. I'm sorry to hear your girls want one really bad because all their friends has one, but to me that's not a good reason for letting them get one. My daughter got her belly button pierced for her 17th birthday, not one day before. She also wanted to have it done when she was younger because all her friends had theirs pierced, but guess what. I didn't care, she wasn't getting her pierced then and I never let her do what she wanted just because her friends did it. It's really your decision though, so you should think about it and make the choice you think is the best for your girls. Good luck!!!!

just because all of her friends have one doesn't mean she should! If you think it is acceptable fine but don't let her pull the "all my friends" routine. As my mom use to say if all your friends jumped off a bridge would you? Personally as the mother of a 13 yr old boy i say she is too young. I think it is simply too sexy for that age. If she has a belly button ring she will NEED to wear clothes to show it off. If she is wearing clothes that show off her belly and belly ring what message is she sending to 13 yr old boys? And more important (for her) what message is she sending to 18 yr old men?

Look at it this way. The only people who's opinion counts is yours and your girls. If you're okay with them having it at that age then go for it. I mean, it's only a piercing and can be taken out. I know from experience that it doesn't hurt much, and it doesn't leave any permanent marks. So why not, go for it... they'll either love it, or they won't want to keep it clean and it'll get infected... then they'll take it out.

no. 13 is way too young. at 13 kids are just trying to be "cool". don't do it, next it will be a tattoo, and you can't get rid of that. even a belly button piercing leaves a scar.

i, myself being 14, think that 13 is too early. My sisters are twins, 15, and both got their belly buttons peirced, i think 15 is a good age.

No, that kind of stuff should wait until the kidis at least 16 Just because some of your kids friends have them, doesn't make it proper. I highly doubt that ALL of their friends have them either. Do ytou let them dress like hookers too?

NO!! thats way to young. at 13 they still dont know themselves. i'm 15 and even though i want peicings now i refuse to get any (except ear lobes and 1 cartalige) because i know i might change my mind and them i would have a scar. i would tell them to wait until 16 and see if they still want it.
