does anyone know how to add a small variety of color to a black and white photo using photoshop? for example: i have a picture of myself in black and white but i want my eyes to look green while the rest of the photo is still in black and white...

if anyone knows what i am talking about i would much appreciate the help...

Try playing with layers and the "color" blending.

For example, create a new layer and make sure it's placed "above" the layer containing your picture (it should be by default).

Then make sure your new layer's mode is changed from "Normal" to "Color". You can change this in the dropdown menu on the Layers tab, when your new layer is selected.

Then try painting different colors on that layer; the grays in your photograph should appear to be shades of the color(s) you draw.

if it's photoshop cs2 ... use the 'color replacement' tool. it's under the paint brush fly out, it'll do the job perfectly.

it's a lot of fun to 'touch up' black and white photos with a bit 'o color, enjoy the process!
