A better question would be... why isn't the commander-in-chief supporting our troops and our country instead of supporting his own agenda?

Many of those "troop supporters" don't support them at all, in fact they want us to lose so they can say how right they were and how wrong Bush was. Us losing would mean more lives lost. For some reason, people think that the Trade Center, Pentagon and wherever that fourth plane was going would have been the extent of the attack. They don't understand militant Islam and the fact that not doing anything about it (like Clinton) just makes them see us as weak and well worth bombing. No telling how many lives wold have been lost here had the man NOT taken action. Funny how everyone was gungho in the beginning, but when reality hits that wars last longer than 3 months, everyone scatters. Supporting the troops means supporting the cause, you can't have one without the other. Otherwise you are supporting the individual, not the cause or the goal. That's like saying I support the (insert professional team here) but don't really care or want them to win and I hate the coach. How does that work?

I support the troops because they are in an illegal war that hasn't made the world safer and has been the training grounds. This is a President that sees no wrong in how the war was planned and has changed his stance on why we have invaded several times. The troops are doing the best they can with what they have. This Administration was told by the men on the ground that more troops were needed, but they choose to ignore that. What should have been done very decisively, was completely botched. With proper planning, this would be almost over. But now, we're there for 15 years or more.

I don't think I am a hypocrite. I didn't want war, I called everyone I could - we still got war. I never wanted them in their - I want them out of there, home, here with their families. I don't want them in harms way on what is looking more and more like a thankless mission.
If they must be there, then I want them to be properly armed and protected while they are there. I don't want to hear any more stories of death because this idiotic President wanted to see if he could finish his dad's war.
I am so totally for the troops - none of them should have been hurt in this. We should have acted as a member of the UN and continued to be a good member of the international community and not have our troops stretched so thin that the national guard is short of resources. How can those boys hope to protect us with so much smaller man power, the year after Katrina and some being deployed to the border at the start of our big weather season? And all that amid Bush's famous tax cuts!
No - I support the men and women who work hard each day, following orders to keep us safe and put their life ont he line, but that in no way means that I think the people giving the orders are correct or intelligent or working in our best interest. I don't see hypocrisy here.

The commander in chief failed to finish his duty during Vietnam, he missed the last six months because he worked on somebodys election. This is a fact. ******** Cheney was classified as able bodied, but he got FIVE deferrments during Vietnam.
The Commander in Chief, at present, was a coward and his vice president used every device NOT to do his duty, but they sure as hell sent the country to war. He shot his friend in the face, he's so hapless with a weapon for Gods SAKE!
The Vietnam War lasted about 5 years and cost 50000 deaths, but neither Bush nor Cheney spent ONE SECOND on a battle field, and YOU wonder why a lot of people are disgusted with these chickenhawk, gutless, cowardly mothers.........
WHO is REALLY the hypocrite???????????????????????????????????

In the opinion of real Americans, you have no idea of what you are talking about.
All politicians and governmental officials worldwide are out for themselves. Face the facts. If you don't believe that, you are worse than a hypocrite, you are a fool.
Everyone is asked to do certain things for their job. Soldiers are asked to do and risk much more than anyone else in their jobs. We support them, because we know that they do what they do out of a sense of honor and obligation to history and their country.
I am in favor of this President and this war. If you are not an American citizen, your opinion is like chaff in the wind, and I do not care if you feel one way or the other.
You are entitled to your opinion, but that entitlement doesn't mean that you have a clue.

I've been called a hypocrite by someone who has never talked to me, never asked my opinion? Well, you're an assuming assinine idiot.
I have a mind of my own, unlike you, spouting crap from the wrong end of your body.
Go take some pills with your buddy Rush Limbaugh and leave me alone.
And I support the troops own wishes to come home.

The American military is composed of the national public and is responsible for their own actions but not for the war itself.
Wars can be judged because of the reasons of why it had began, conducted and ends.
The President REPRESENTS the military as figurehead though s/he cannot enact war, only introduce a declaration to Congress on certain terms that may be popular or unpopular to the populace.

The U.S. soldier is a professional. Anyone who supports them is supporting them based on their ability as a professional and that support is not based on leadership or commands but how they carry out their duty as a professional U.S. soldier.
The President of the United States is an elected officer. By nature, the job of the president is political and the decisions the president makes is subject to political opinion.

that doesnt make you a hypocrite. i support those soldiers because my guy is a soldier and i would never say they were wrong. those guys are risking their lives in the military. they didnt sign up for this war or a specific mission. they signed up to serve our country and keep us free. they have to do what they are ordered to do, they dont choose the causes. so i can very much support those guys and not support the pres for making decisions that i feel arent in the US's best interest.
