Amtrak trouble?

I want a train to take me from oceanside ca to valencia ca from 7 am to whenever i guess but i prefer a short time , but i cant be picky, but the times they have are waaaaay to late , it is in the afternoon, am i stupid or am i just too late to getting the ticket? i dont know but i am even planning past the date i am trying to go on, but no luck. if you want to see what i see go to the reservations part of the site type in oceanside ca to newhall ca july 3 2006 7am, and i swear i am not having luck.

Amtrak doesn't have rail service to the Valencia/Newhall area, just a couple of buses per day that are primarily designed for connections between Los Angeles and Bakersfield.

However, you can get to Newhall by rail by using Metrolink, the Los Angeles-area commuter train service. From Oceanside, take Amtrak train 763 to Los Angeles (departs 7:03 AM, arrives 8:50 AM); then take Metrolink Antelope Valley Line train 205 from Los Angeles to Newhall (departs 9:20 AM, arrives 10:02 AM). Metrolink tickets are available from vending machines in the lobby/waiting room area of Union Station.

Holidays are the worst time to travel on the planes, trains, and busses!! I would look into a last minute flight, sometimes, people cancel at the last minute, and you can get the flight tickets for really cheap, because they want all their seats sold. Check that out, or call Am trak back, and just requests a faster, less time ticket instead.. Tell them, you need to get their sooner, with better hours, how can you go about doing this. You might have to pay more, but, thats, just how things are around the Holidays. Good-Luck, to you1!!
