* Solar (light, and heat)
* Water (water wheels, Hydro stuff, Japan is doing research on Ocean Tides generating energy, heated up water from valcanos or gizers and stuff)
* Wind
* Bio (Bio-Desil, Heat generated from Waste like poop, trees...)
* Air (compressed air...)
* Rechargable Batteries...
* Magnatism (magnets)
* Volcanic (Hawaii generates heat energy from the volcano, forgot the proper word for it, but that's what it is)
~ Natural environment, like cave effect stuff, um heating water through black pipes in the sun, um also reflecting alot of heat by having a reflective light serfice... those kind of natural things help KEEP energy LOW.
I think that's all I know of.
;-)
If you run across a workable magnet device that's CHEAP please tell me LOL(That produces alot of energy to run my apt, and is safe to operate... can I figure out the breaker box thingy hookups to convert the energy to AC and run it at a normal current)... THEN yes please TELL me (b4 I jarry rig my own one day)
;-)

Number one is solar: its inexhaustible, clean, reliable, and safe. Other renewable sources, such as wind and hydropower, probably come in second but are not as reliable. Nuclear presents a safety issue as well as other concerns.
Solar is accessible to the majority of people right now in inexpensive but useful ways. For example, solar-powered radios and calculators, and a fun one, solar ovens, which you can build yourself for just a few dollars and in just an hour or so using free plans you can get off the Internet.

Nuclear fusion! Search for ITER. Yes, it will work for just about forever.
Also, try finding a way to reverse gravity, and put it on one side of a wheel. It will spin for one heckuva long time.
