I've decided that despite people's constant, unfounded criticism that this is the most correct religion - you only have to look at our creed - "A world without Criminals, without Insanity and without war - where the able can prosper and man is free to reach greater heights" I find this inspiring don't you?

Laurel - The BEST thing about it is that there is no 'god' 'christ' or 'bible' mentioned...christianity is a farce!

Yes, you are quite right there. Here are a few more examples:

"By my own creed, a person is only as valuable as he can be of help to others"-LRH

"The only real therapeutic agent in this universe is the spirit(soul)"-LRH

"I have seen life upside down and I have seen it downside up and I know how it looks both ways and I can tell you that there is hope"-LRH

I find it to be a Utopian idealistic type of teaching that denies one of the basic truths about mankind found in the Bible and backed up by thousands of years of history.

It assumes that people can overcome their sin nature if they just use the right techniques and that all on his own mankind can create a "brave new world". Sure, it's a lofty goal, full of optimism and on the surface it sounds great. But I believe what the Bible teaches, that in order for people to overcome their sin nature and for there to be an end to war and insanity and every other ill you can name that has existed on this planet since the days of Adam and Eve, we need the supernatural help that only God can provide.

I will admit that I don't know everything about Scientology but what I understand and have seen in my close friends who are scientologists ins't very inspiring. For one, Hubbard was wanted for tax evasion at one point...I believe he still hasn't taken care of that...or the multi-millions that come in from celebrities has for him. Second, why is everything about money from them? My friend tried to give my sister a book on the topic and then tried to charge her $25 even though my sister didn't want it. If you want someone to learn about your beliefs do you have to charge them for everything? Another thing I'm just curious...what has the church of scientology done for humanity lately? I am open to learning so if you know...fill me in.

If a world without insanity means it's appropriate to jump up and down on furniture while on talk shows then I'll stick to my current beliefs.

No, I don't find this inspiring. Scientology is probably one of the worst religions of all because it brain-washes people and takes all their money.

no, i don't get it
what the heck is scientology?
and lets keep science in the class room, not in our beliefs. So I don't like it because I know somehow it involves Tom Cruise and I hate him. He's crazy.

nope, sorry. This world is not my home and it sounds to me like you are trying to make a point of Natural Selection..."where the able can prosper"...

The ideas of $cientology are noble -- the path, however, is tainted by the ramblings of a madman.
