I've heard alot lately about Mexico, and it doesnt jump out at me....what are mexicans so proud of......specifically! Tell me somthing we all can agree about!...something uniquely good!

I am with you - I can't fathom why they are so proud of Mexico. You'd think they would be very ashamed of Mexico and angry at their government for causing them to feel that they have to flee the country in order to survive and support their families. You'd think that on the May 1st demonstrations and marches that they would have been expressing loyalty and support to the USA, being as apparently without being able to come to the USA they and their families would have starved??? I am totally in the dark with how they reason that they are proud of Mexico. Meanwhile, I just read on another poster on here that recently returned from a trip to Mexico and she said she heard on the Mexican news that now the Mexicans are going through the sewer tunnels to try to enter the US? I don't know that we share sewer systems with them (for that matter, I didn't know they had any real kind of a sewer system there). Anyways, they seem to be getting more desperate to find ways in with the recent tightening of the border. Just like rats and mice trying to get into your house - they just keep at it until they chew their way in!

Mexico and the Mexican people have a rich and colorful culture. The are a warm and loving people. I have been to Mexico many times and it is diverse and very beautiful (I'm not talking about TJ, either) And shouldn't we all be proud of and try to retain our heritage? I'm Italian, although I was born in California as were my parents and grandparents. But, they all have managed to pass down what it is to be Italian. We all should know were we originate from and appreciate it and other cultures. It is what makes life interesting!

ok for all yall ignorants saying that why don't mexicans stay in their countries is because they wish they can go back but what would u do if they keep on promesing u for 20 years that the country is going to change and it never does. mexicans contributed alot to this country all yall are haterz because we are taking over USA hahaha. latinos are the ****. stop hating. we are proud brown and proud of where we come from.

I am...I guess, what ppl would call a Mexican American... whatever in the hell that means...either ur Mexican or ur American. Anyway I consider myself American...was born and raised in America, and so were my parents, so u dont get anymore American than that. But the one thing I would have to say that Mexicans have to be proud of is the food. Good lord...there aint nothin better than a huge plate of spanish rice, charro beans, fajitas, flour tortillas, quacamole.......mmm now Im hungry damnit. Oh, and dont forget about tequilla. hehe.

mexico is a great country with a lot of cultural history, just like most other countries think the usa suck, you might not see why mexicans love their country not matter if currently is not a first class country in terms of economy.

i love how they jump on questions like this to tell you how great it is there then why are they here? but ask them something like why doesn't anyone do anything to better mexico or why don't you demand or protest your country or what about the people you left behind and you can practically hear crickets except for a few who will call you racist .

OK first of all Mexicans have a hell of alot more things to be proud of than these stanky white folks who think they running this ******* country well i got news for yo *** I'm gonna break it down nice and slow for yo *** k Mexicans struggle to get Wat they got they work they earn what they get now i wanna see you say that Mexicans beautiful each and everyone of them have a greatness about them that no one can take from them all my Mexican friends are so much fun they can brighten up any body's day there great people and this Lil questions ticks me off

Don't really care what they are proud of but had to respond to the person who said they are proud of their "Latin Roots". Latin Roots? You've got to be kidding me. If I were a Mexican I would be cursing any latin blood in me for destroying the real culture of the original Mexican inhabitants forever.

They are proud of their latin roots and of their incredible struggle to get a better quality of life in the United States, just as someone would be proud of watching his/her dream come true due to his effort.
