Stick to move popular bit torrent sites. Also before downloading the torrent most sites have comments about the torrent read what others have to say about it. Most of the viruses and such will be brought out through that. You can also get yourself a good spyware detector, I would say "Spybot - Search & Destroy" is the best free one and scan your files first and "Avast!" is probly the best free viruses scanner. So between thoughs two programs you will be much safer.

There is no threat in bit torrent program. but the files downloaded through that may contain threats. Nothing to worry if you are using a good internet security program like Norton internet security.

Most Bittorrent clients do not have spyware. But then again, some do. Be careful what you download.
