I did not vote for George W. Bush.
I do not share the religious or political views of Bush.
I most certainly would not fight for Bush!
(It so happens I have some health conditions that would make me unable to serve in the military -- not serious, but enough that I couldn't pass boot camp. But even if I didn't have these conditions, I still would not go to war for a man and a cause that I do not believe in).
That being said, I *do* support the men and women in our military who are overseas. Let's be clear on that -- I respect them greatly and I'm always thinking good thoughts for them. :) They had no choice in where they got sent, and if the truth were known, I'm sure many of them would rather not be in the Middle East either! But they'd face dishonorable discharge or even worse, if they tried to abandon the military.

He probably means that whatever spiritual power he has chosen for his life's journey was at peace when he made crucial decisions. I don't think you would have the indignation if he had relied upon new age meditation to clear his thoughts prior to a big decision. In any case, A soldier always represents the U.S. no matter why he is sent. Abu Gharaib and a few other clowns who make bad headlines make up about 1 percent of army personnel. Most people in the world will never meet an American unless they are in uniform. Little off subject, but something to consider. Foreigners might get the impression that all Americans are willing to sweat and bleed for the very conept of the U.S.A. even when they don't agree with every president every time.

Where did you read that God told him to Attack these countries? You are right biblically in that you should obey those that are in authority. I did not know Bush said God told him these things. Bush said we would have peace and security, which sounds like peace and safety. If you understand that biblically? God Bless
I will fight for this nation with my last breath. This also is a government by the people and for the people, if your congessman voted against what you asked, then fire them!!!

Most of you make me laugh.
To the silly little liberals who curse, insult and show a total lack of respect to the President of the United States, well, what else can you expect from a group of people who consider a cowardly, adulterous, Wagging the Dog loser like Clinton as a role model.
To all those disillusioned "Christians" who condemn Bush for spilling "innocent" blood, perhaps you should take a long, clear look at your religions penchant for spilling blood before ou make any accussations..
As for Bush, if I was able to fight I certainly would, regardless of the reason he gave. Wahhabism must be destroyed where ever it pops up.
The one thing I greatly enjoy is the extreme naïveté in believing that if we just left them alone they would leave us alone. Clinton tried that kiddies and look where it got us.

Well I've already served in the military and I'm past the age where I could reenlist so if the President made a special allowance because he really needed me then I'd go. Because in addition to what the Bible says about obeying those in authority unless they command you to break one of God's laws it says this about the authorities like the United States government and our President.
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
In other words it doesn't contradict what God's word says when George Bush says that in prayer God told him to attack these nations that used to have evil despots and murderers in charge. All throughout the Bible there are stories where God uses one nation to punish another nation for their evil ways.

If George W. Bush told you to put on a clown suit and jump off a cliff, would you do it? Because according to your logic, "Jesus said to obey those in power."
I suggest you trade your bible in for a brain. Those who think for themselves have the greatest control over their experiences in life. Bush is a moron, and of course he is going to try to validate what he is doing by saying that "god" told him to do it. Because that's how he wins the support of brainless christians like you.

No, he made no mention of the Goddess. And even then I would have to question his intentions, for the God and the Goddess would not tell him to do that. It goes against the idea of Free Will for me. And that is what I believe should govern our hearts and minds in situation such as these.

nicely to offer an instantaneous answer NO, Bush isn't sturdy as a President. He has led our u . s . a . right into a under no circumstances ending conflict on fake pretenses. you could not combat a conflict against someones ideologies, and how are you able to have confidence a guy that tries to combat them? while Colin Powell, the only member in his cupboard at that factor with any militia journey, replace into adamantly against the conflict what did he do? Even his father replace into against the assumption of conflict and informed him to no longer attack Iraq, yet he nonetheless did it. how are you able to have confidence somebody who knowingly and willfully deliver his electorate into harms way truly while his father, a former conflict time President with conflict journey advises against it. If it have been his daughters I wager the end result could have been a sprint distinctive. it truly is user-friendly to take a seat down back and say that we've not been attacked yet basically think of, have we no longer been attacked with the aid of fact of Bush's conflict or TERROR or with the aid of fact those terrorist businesses do no longer decide to attack us. those businesses take their time in making plans an attack and in the event that they needed to attack use back they could, and extremely lots ought to at any given think approximately time. there is no actual way that our fatherland could be thoroughly shield and impenetrable in any respect situations.
