Please, I really need the opinion of guys & gals (preferably over 25yrs old.) Do guys like it when girls "play hard to get."? Are they put off by forward women? I prefer not to play games. If I like someone, I'd rather be upfront about it and not waste each others time. But, I have been hearing a lot lately that women should play hard to get, be coy, keep the guy guessing because then he will keep trying to win a girls heart. And they are often not interested if a woman shows too much interest...What are your thoughts on this...?? Please answer, because after quite a long time, I am back to dating :( and I like this guy and I'm not sure how to go about this...

Hey, thanks for answering my question I appreciate your help. Honestly, GUYS do not like it when WOMEN play games!!!!!!! This demonstrates something very bad about her character and that is something us guys will remember for life!!!!! We are not put off by 'forward women' its just every guy is different and some are looking for different things. Some guys think about dating girls that they would only consider being happy with in the future, and there are other guys that just date girls just for the companionship and for the time being, or honestly they seem like they know what they want, but they may not always know what they want. Relationships work on both parties and with more communication you will find out what he wants just give things time, go out for coffee, see if he calls you, tell him about your life if he is interested he will ask aspects of your life, what you're doing on the weekend etc I hope this helps, thanks again....:o)

Trust your instincts. Different guys have different personalities which is also a chalenge for girls. But always remeber that in this situation, you're the captain. And you're testing a potential long term partner. You have the right to choose, you have the right to reject..Playing hard-to-get may bring out what real personality of a guy and sometimes his true intentions...

Some guys are attracted to that behavior, but they aren't such great catches. IMHO, you should be honest and straightforward. The most important thing is honesty, with restraint a close second. They like to feel wanted, but not smothered! That book, "The Rules"? Total bunk!!! You want the guy to fall for you, not some character you're playing. Best of luck to you!

Think about this...All the guys that you don't really like and like only as a friend want you right? Then the guys that you really like don't...Challenge.
So yes, I understand where you are coming from. I'm not about playing games, but it seems that a guy wants a challenge and wants to feel like they have conquered the female once they get her, but then the question is...When do you stop playing the hard to get role and just be yourself?
It's all a bunch of crap, but yes, most guys like the challenge of it all and if it comes to easily, they don't seem to want it as much...Every guy isn't like that, but most are.

I'd prefer a girl to be upfront...i hate playing games and wondering if a girl likes me or not...if there is any question in it, i just assume they don't and walk away...but every guy is different...if you liked me, i'd prefer you to let me know it...too much is lost when games are played

im a 34 year old male, i've had sex on a first date and dated the same girl for 3 years, i've dated a girl for 3 months without having sex, really if you feel like having sex with a guy, if he is mature he will be very glad to hear it and it wont mean anything, if he has sex and says you are a slut or something he is immature, my advice is date mature guys and do as you feel

a chase is always fun, but dont make it a marathon. let him catch you once in a while to keep him coming back. make it too easy and its no fun anymore because its too easy to get
