What makes the United States of America great?

People who want to come to America have only one county in mind. They do not want to go to the other American countries like Canada, Mexico, Cuba, El Savador, Nicauragua, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, etc. People want to come to the United States of America.

So what makes the USA so special and desirable?

Everything! We have all sorts of freedoms(free speech, religion, right to protest, etc) that other people don't have.
We have a prosperous lifestyle, which is probably why most people want to come here. And you may not see it from your perspective, but I see an America that can come together in hard times, and help each other and other countries out. Where do you think all these third world countries are getting their aid and food for their poor, lower cost drugs for their sick. The tooth fairy? The U.S has some points it could stand to work on, like all places, but I understand and appreciate what we have in this country, and I feel it is due more to the spirit of the United States than anything.

Ok you have to know that the reason everyone wants to go to the United States is because people watch tv and they most likely want to see movie stars and such. I mean come on how many movie stars do you know that you can see down town in Canada and other such places. Personally I don't know any other reason to visit the States except for maybe some of the tourist attractions like Grand Canyon and such. If I were to go somewhere for the people it would be Canada and not just because it's my home but because in the United States of America people have bad attitudes and are rude and mean and I haven't met a single person from the States who doesn't say "I'm going to sue that person for..." etc. I mean come on lighten up people. Be a little nicer.

What makes the United States great is the people and all the different cultures. We are here without repression, authoritarianism, and we have freedom of religion. You're allowed to work and buy your own home or property. We live in a country where each state brings something different to see. Freedom we have and I hope we can keep it for many years. Thank goodness for our God, our land and our constitution and the people who fought to get us freedom and to keep it. That's why America is so great.

ithink a lot of people come to the us because of the idea of free speech that is guaranteed to every citizen. they also see a lot of benefits the the us has tooffer.some countries have almost no benefits for elderly disabled or retired prople, they also so poor that wages are too low to survive. and theyhave no system of free enterprise. the us offfers a lot of opportunities this is why some of our best celebrities have come from other countries and are extremely succcessful. a good example of thie is the governor of californie, or sigfried& roy. they are all from europe and have been famoud for years nad would not have been as successful in the native land.
