Ooh! I do! Contact me! err, my yahoo messenger doesn't work. You can email me, though.

I'm very active in my church. I sing in the choir, go to church meetings (both youth and adult), I play the bass in the praise and worship team, and I've been a voting member in the annual conference. Grr, I'm afraid of posting my email here. I'd like to speak to you through MSN messenger.

I also know the inner workings of the organization. I know people in there personally and my Grandfather was a bishop of the UMC.

Oh, if you'd like to find out more about our doctrine, check out the "Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church". It's updated every 4 years, so it's pretty accurate about what we believe (unless you're in the Pacific Northwest, where I am, *sigh*).

Oh, I also like how the church uses it's money. Check out UMCOR. I think it's http://www.umcor.org or something. It goes to other places, too, ofcourse. We believe in making a difference.

Oh, and unlike other churches, we tend to "Unite" with other denominations, not separate.

A united Methodist church is a Christian denominational church. You get involved in a church by showing up for the services and usually if you are new someone will notice you or you can find someone there who is there just to talk to visitors. Every church is a little different so I can't tell you what to expect at a Methodist church since I've never been to one.

I belong to a non-denominational church because the Bible says that there is really only one church that is a spiritual body of all born again believers with Jesus as the head of the church. If you look on the Free Stuff page of my website you can find a lot of links that can answer questions for you or help you to find a church in your area.

In Australia the Methodists united with the baptists to make the United Church of Australia. Christian churches. Probably the same where you are. Contact the United Church where you are and see when church starts or the youth group.

United Methodist church is a combination of the Medhodist Church and the United Brethern.

They are more sane than most of the Christian churches today.

Just go to services and see if you like the people and the message

United Methodists are pretty liberal - more concerned with social issues than what the Bible says in my experience, but that doesn't mean there aren't some good ones out there. I'd recommend LCMS Lutheran. They seem the most on target with the Bible in my experience (but that doesn't mean there aren't some bad ones out there...). To get involved just go at the scheduled time. Most likely the people will be very friendly and try to make you feel comfortable. (If not, try another one the next week.) I don't recommend non-denominational churches because they tend to be the gospel according to ____ (name of pastor). Churches that are a part of a denomination tend to have somewhat more accountability and more likely to stick to their established doctrines. (again there are of course exceptions on both sides.)

Hmm, not sure.
How about a non-denominational church (no title) that just teaches God's Word and how to have a relationship with Him?
Don't "rely" on any one person, pastor or elder to be perfect but do look to them for help and guidance as that is what they are there for. They are all human and all will make mistakes. Read the Bible so you can decipher the good from the bad out there. Read allot of the new testament but make sure to visit the old too until you have read all of it. Ask for Gods wisdom and help reading it before you get started. Blessings...

No I dont but you are really searching for the truth you need to find an Evangelical Church which reads the Autherised Version of the Bible.
Just make a few phone calls from yellow pages or ask around.
Best to stay away from organised religion like C of E or catholic as they are just after your money and give false teachings.

Find a church that teaches Gods word. You can't know there teaching God's word though unless your in it yourself. Also look for a church that has good fellowship, supports missions, helps the poor. A good way to find a good church in your area is to contact the ones closest to you and ask them to send you a statement of faith. Basically it will tell you what that church believes. Compare what that church believes to what God's word teaches and you can't go wrong.

If the symbol on the church is of a flame and cross together, the doctrine of the church should be on target with basic christian beliefs. Pick up lit in front of the
church foyer and checkout whats involved before signing on.

I believe that Jesus came here to free us from religions and wanted to teach us to have a personal relationship with God. Visit different churches and when you will find your church-home, make it stronger by serving.

My church teaches that it is a good thing to serve at the church, and not to be just church consumers. You will find you place by volunteering.
