Effects of Stress
Stress can affect you both immediately (acute stress) and over time (chronic stress).
Tension is often the first signal of acute stress. Tense muscles are tight and feel "hard" to the touch. A tense mind makes you feel jumpy, irritable, and unable to concentrate. This could be your signal to do something about stress, both for your immediate comfort and to prevent the long-term effects of stress.
Symptoms of stress
Common symptoms of stress include:
Rapid heartbeat.
Headache.
Stiff neck and/or tight shoulders.
Backache.
Rapid breathing.
Sweating and sweaty palms.
Upset stomach, nausea, or diarrhea.
You also may notice signs of stress in your thinking, behavior, or mood. You may:
Become irritable and intolerant of even minor disturbances.
Feel irritated or frustrated, lose your temper more often, and yell at others for no reason.
Feel jumpy or exhausted all the time.
Find it hard to concentrate or focus on tasks.
Worry too much about insignificant things.
Doubt your ability to do things.
Imagine negative, worrisome, or terrifying scenes.
Feel you are missing opportunities because you cannot act quickly.

Stress more than anything ages a person. The stress in your life keeps one from being as spiritual, creative or loving or capable of experiencing life or making the very best decisions as a life thats fullfilled at least. And if ones life was fullfilled and happy and our goals were successful ( the ones that matter like the kind of person you would like to be) then the ability to be a real friend and mother/sister/daughter etc and to grow quickly because of the harmony we are in with the universe would be unlimited.
I beleive stress really comes when there are too many things in your environment alerting you that life sucks. (A baby crying a husband screaming some ******* motorcycle going around and around , people walking around putting their hand over their hearts and then stand by and watch you get pounded pumme;ed or die.) the little **** that alerts us life has definitely some points to be desired. (no one honorable or faithful or actually worth a **** at all in your life)

A few signs of stress include anxiety and mood swings. You should ask your doctor what the 'stress test' actually tests for. Or go to webmd.com if you want more details.

my doctor just told me the same thing. i went in to find out if i was diabetic or if i had insulin resistance. i have sudden drops in blood sugar, fatigue, problems concentrating, dry skin, high cholesterol, blood pressure spikes, insomnia, all kinds of things. turns out there is nothing wrong with me other than i'm too stressed. after talking to friends and family, apparently i've been high strung my whole life. who knew? anyway, the doc said stress can mimic a LOT of illnesses, the above are just examples of what it does to me.

Stress will decrease your immunity so you could become more susceptible to viral or bacterial infections (cold/flu etc.). Body subjected to stress will constanly be in a "defense" mode causing you to sweat more, probably see more gray hairs and could potentially lead to complications such as cancer (that links to decreased immune system). So just don't worry!!!! Take it easy and try to be more relaxed. Reevaluate and rearrange your priorities so that your health is #1.
