Vitamin E, Vitamin C and D is one of the major vitamins that will promote hair growth. Ready made supplements can be purchased at any good health store.

Foods, such avocado pear which is a rich source of Vitamin E and is also excellent for the skin, But eat in moderation as weight gain is likely. Vitamin C , plenty of fresh fruit (not decaying) and vegetables is a good source. Cabbage is good for Vtiamine D , as are all fish oils found in particular in Salmon, Mackeral Sardines etc. Sunshine will activate the vitamine D

Rubbing anything into the hair has no eal effect, all it ti does stimulate the bloodflow the hairfollicles etc. But success is minimal.

But do not expect instant miracles, as this will take at least 4 weeks to some benefit and three month to 6 month before the benefit can be really seen.

Alternatively, have Hair extensions woven in by a good hairdresser until her own hair has grown to the desired length.

Try Nioxin. My father was bald, and he's been using it. It's actually regrowing his hair. For your wife, I recommend what I'm using. It's a shampoo and conditioner, and a treatment. What is does is help stop the early signs of thinning; so it thickens the hair, makes it stronger, therefore helping in the growth process. You can only buy the products from specialty shops, hairdressers, etc. It lasts quite a while, so don't be alarmed by the price tag - it's well worth it. It's also infused with rare herbs and botanicals so it won't damage. Good luck. xx

I'm a hairdresser!(Just qualified haha)..Don't let her have hair extensions because her hair will probably feel thinner and feel like she has less hair by the time she has them taken out.
There are tablets she can take but i don't advise that you use these straight away, it's best to try the natural approach first.
She should buy a shampoo to thicken hair or a volumising shampoo, this'll make her feel like she has more hair. (There are shampoos to help hair growth too)
Massaging her head will stimulate her scalp, this incourages hair growth...maybe you could help her with this.
It's important that she has her hair cut on a regular basic, every 6-8 weeks. Some people think that if they don't get their hair cut it'll get longer, this isn't true, it's needs cutting regulary!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diet is also VERY important, there are foods which help you to grow, i'm not sure what foods but it's worth looking into it
Hpe this helps ;-)

First things first, she needs to make sure that her hair is trimmed regularly. Hair that is healthy will grow faster. Then, she should work to keep it healthy and moisturized by using good quality hair care products as well as minimizing the use of harsher styling tools and treatments (like blow drying and hot rollers). Finally, vitamins..prenatal vitamins especially, can really boost the growth of both hair and fingernails.

I don't know where you live, but when my parents vacationed in Hawaii as a part business/part pleasure trip, my Mother discovered that the tropical climate of the Hawaiian Islands quite literally made her hair grow faster than it does when they are home in Virginia.

Perhaps take a little trip?

Try Mane and Tail Shampoo...No kidding around...It is a product for humans but it's called that because it not only makes your hair grow longer but faster and shiny too...

There are a lot of shampoos that will help you with that. Because I hate growing out my hair past my bra line, I never tried using them, but I havent heard many bad reviews of any of them, so just go out and buy the first thing that you see that is reasonably priced and says to help with that.

Well, she could try one of those Vitamin E supplements like Biotin-E. A diet rich in protein and calcium is very important as well, take it from someone who knows - i spend a fortune on hairdressers' bills!
