actually, I'm not quite sure about the difference between 'monkey' and 'ape' in english. If 'monkey' refers to a little animal with a tail, in spanish it's said 'mono', 'monito', 'chango' or 'changuito'.

Chango, in Mexico, and most of Latin America, and mono in Spain.
