I have seen many posts about, for, and against Christianity. I want to know what aspects you think are hard to understand, or any other question you may have. The best answer will be chosen based on sincereity of the question.

Yes, I know it isn't proper to answer a question with a question, but I wont tell if you wont!

I can't comprehend how people are blind to the violence that is evident about the god that they worship. He gets mad, drowns the world, burns cities etc...they say he is love, but he only shows love to those who have a sheep mentality. I also can't grasps how 3 religions have the same god yet are at war with one another. If he existed why would he allow this?

Another thing why is it that Christians predict the end of the world so much. Just in the past 6 years 3 major "apocalypse" were suppose to happen. Y2k then when nothing happened it became the whole 666 scare tactic. Now I hear they pushed it to 2036 oh sorry it was 2012 then it was pushed back to 2036. Man for a religion that is against psychics, they sure like predicting the future.

I also don't understand why clergy people don't pay taxes. Come on, some get food, shelter, clothing, and a salary and they don't pay taxes, WHAT A SCAM!!! While people who actually pay taxes are ask to give the church 10% of their earnings, and if they want to claim the money they donate the congregation from upon the act.

I was raised Christian but soon became dissatisfied with their hipocricy and lack of answers for valid questions. It seems that Christianity is just as flawed as any other religion if not more so. Christians barely realise that most of their traditions and holidays are borrowed from older pagan religions. They tend to follow certain commandements yet completely disegard others. They tend to believe that they are the one "true" religion and condemn all others regardles of circumstance to eternal damnation. They forget the basis of their religion that says judge not and hate not, and continue to judge and hate. They have condoned viloence, slavery, and injustice numerous times in the past and still do. They condone a herd mentality, and do not allow for proper dialogue, when faced with a question that conflicts with their beliefs, they say "well you'll have to ask God that". They give the creator a human face with human imperfections such as hatred, and jealousy. The worst thing they do is behave as if they are the only good people on the planet just because of their beliefs, an act which seems to me ungodly and primitive, as many other religions throughout history. They do not realise that their main and only scripture has other parts to it that were hidden and show a different picture of Christianity, they also do not realise that their scriptures have been translated many times over and don't seem to think that would cause any sort of problem with accuracy. I could go on, but these are some of the reasons I will never follow the current religion, it has become corrupted and twisted by people who want to control the masses and has fewer and fewer people who truly understand the scriptures for what they truly mean. To me Christianity is no different from Islam or Judaism, all religions that have become twisted and offer very little good for humanity currently. It is quite possible that these religions and their small minded leaders will cause great strife and suffering upon mankind. Their founders are extremely upset right now. I'm sorry I did'nt realise that it was supposed to be in the form of a question. Question is why have so called "Christians" destroyed such a beautiful and peaceful religion, and when will you reform again.

Why do so many (not all) Christians take the Bible so literally. The Bible was not written by God himself. I was written basically by man through God, but as the Bible says itself Man is fallible. Not to mention the Catholic church is and always has been Politically motivated. Not to say the basic meaning of the Bible isn't good I just have some problems with the finer points, and contradictions in the different books.

Who was the "real" Jesus. You have to free your mind from the idea that the Bible is infallible in order to think that the Jesus portrayed in the Bible is most likely a very highly sensationalized and exaggerated version of the truth. I have no doubt that Jesus was a intelligent and charasmatic individual who knew how to get the attention of people. What I really can't buy into are all the so called miracles depicted in the N.T., especially things like healings, water into wine, walking on water and of course the resurrection.

So, I would love to fly back into time and watch and observe what really happened and learn who Jesus really was.

Why does christianity's adherents not read the bible and check the facts? All believers accept the twaddle because of peer pressure and forced indoctrination. Facts and evidence have never made anyone into a religious believer, but they have turned believers into atheists.

the contradictions in the bible and the cobbled together explanations of them by ' christians '

The inordinate amount of importance placed on irrelevant issues such as creation vs evolution

the need by ' christians ' to push their beliefs down my throat

the inability of ' christians ' to accept the different beliefs of others

I think that about covers it. I just can't think of any more right now.

I just thought of another one. The dogmatic belief in things that are absolutely impossibe then saying 'but god can do anything' to try to explain it

Oh, another one. The fact they people profess to be Christian but don't follow the teaching of Christ

My question comes from Genesis, when Adam and Eve had Cain and Able. When Cain killed Able, he was banished and went to the land of Nod. In Nod he took a wife. If Adam and Eve were the only people on earth besides him and his brother, where did his wife come from?

Why does christians thinking Jesus was/is the God's son?

I'm a Muslim and I read "Jesus Christ" in "Quran" and I know, how he was birth, etc.

My question is not intended to be offensive, so please be patient.

I am wondering how can modern sane people believe in a religion that glorifies human sacrifice and cannibalism in effigy.

Again, sorry if it is offensive, but if Christ died for our sins, that is human sacrifice, even if you say he did it willingly. There is no spin you can put on it that changes the reality of the sacrifice - you can't say that Christ was god, because god cannot die.

I am not wondering about if God exist or not. that is only a personal belief. What I don't understand (sorry) is how believers place so much faith in the book. It seems the book is more important than anything, even than God himself.
