no religion to fight over, no country to kill for, sounds like a great place to be.

i savor his motive yet, as he envisioned, I do certainly say he's a dreamer. there is actual darkness interior the middle of mankind, and faith/possessions/governments....basically about all those issues....they do no longer seem to be the reason. they are the symptom. there is not any longer a utopia, no longer in this life. the main suitable we can do is do good as quickly as we comprehend the crossroads...and attempt truly to become conscious of the end results of our strikes on the better finished of society. whether each and every person have been to constantly behave in a morally sound way, the inherent chaos interior the worldwide does not care. Storms, earthquakes, famine, affliction...those issues will constantly proceed to reason suffering. John Lennon replace right into a sturdy guy and a prodigious songwriter/poet, yet there are a number of from whom we can study. i think of Jiddu Krishnamurti's philosophies will take you on a some distance deeper journey than Lennon's.

I would say that John is a Hedonist; live for today, do whatever you want, if it feels good do it, and forget about tomorrow and the consequences that come with it. He also thinks that if there were no countries or religions that there would be no wars; what nonsense! It's those individuals who are power hungry, smart, ruthless, care nothing for the welfare of others, who do not believe in Heaven or hell, and become rulers of countries that cause wars because of their desire for more and more power.
Lets look at the history of the world and do a little critical thinking here!

Men are self destroying animals.. don't blame that on religion..
personally, i cannot imagine the violence and the crime rate if there isn't any religion... i mean like there's no standards in the society, no ties, no taboos... and its bad enough now..
then think of the suicide rates.. with no hopes for the future, no hope after the grave///... i can't imagine.
there is no peace in having nothing... people doesn't get along just because there is nothing to fight over with...
what keeps peace is love..ignorance doesn't help

Hey! I don't have to IMAGINE a place where there was "no religion too." History has provided us with many REAL LIFE EXAMPLES. The Soviet Union, the People's Republic of China, North Korea, and North Vietnam all severely punished those with religious belief. Utopias they weren't.

I also love the song. But this reality! I believe in heaven and hell. If sin had not enter this world then we would be living like the poem says.

I think the point that the song relays is that without religion their would be a lot less fighting. Many many people have been killed because of religion

God is real. Heaven is real.
the devil's biggest and most successfgul lie is that there is no devil.
adopting john lennon's lyrics as your mantra may help "the world...be as one", but it will do you no good when you are standing in front of God, trying to explain why you ignored His truth.
have a nice day.
