Cooking (heating, boiling, burning) poison ivy will aerosolize the toxin which you will inhale; thus you will be infected without having to ingest the stuff (which is the stupidest idea I have heard in quite a while, BTW).

No! This plant has a natural chemical that attacks anything it touches so NOTHING will eat it. Cooking it will not make the chemicals go away. You eat this stuff, the chemicals that attack your skin will attack the INSIDES of you. And THAT is not a good idea!!

wow! ummm prolly wouldnt kill you if you werent allergic!? lol boiling it would be the safest way by far, just strain the leaves after they are cooked... probably one of the stupidest things a person could do tho
