Men hurt too, don't lose sleep thinking about it. He might seem happy about it but that's just your perception.

I was hurt when my first love broke up with me. My friends say that it was a sign that I truly cared about her in that oh-so special way. Yes, guys are people too; they have emotions. It's just that society tends to view guys as this macho figure that's supposed to repress emotions that could be deemed as feminine. There are only two reasons why I think your ex is happy about the breakup: (1) He's been hurting during the relationship and now that you two are over, the pain is gone; and (2) he's really twisted and knowing that you got hurt makes him happy.

It always depends on who is doing the breaking up. If the guy does it, 9 times of 10, he has or had found someone before he broke up with you. Just keep an ear out and see how long before he shows up with a different girl on his arm. The 1 of of 10 is usually the crying type but will sometimes hide it so the other guys won't find him weak.
