My teeth are less then perfect, i know that braces would cost less, but even after their off, I still don't think I would like them. So, are veneers worth getting, even though their so expensive? Does anyone have veneers, and if so, are you happy with them? Pros and cons, please. Thanks.

In northeast Ohio they cost @ $800-1000. Definitely get a good referral from someone you trust or has had this kind of work done. Ask the dentist you choose to see before and after pictures of other patients. Many dentists have these kind of books. It is true that your natural teeth are shaped and once you have a veneer placed you will always need to have a veneer or crown on the tooth. You should consider the cost of eventual replacement. They definitely can improve your smile and look beautiful if done correctly. I would get an opinion of an orthodontist before deciding though. Try and be very clear as to what you dislike about your smile now. It may be that with braces and possibly bleaching, simple bonding, or even some "reshaping" of your teeth you may be very happy. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I saw a thing on a news type program last night, they said that they cost about $2000+ per tooth, and they must be replaced every few years. Once you get them you always have to have them because they grind down your real teeth to attach the veneers to them. and every time you have them replaced they grind off more of your tooth!
Not to mention the bad stuff that could happen if they are not done correctly! I was thinking about it too, until I saw that show! Now I think that I will just deal with what god gave me!!!
I don't think that the pain is worth it. I have a friend who has one and she has had to have that one tooth replaced 2 times in the last 4 yrs.

Have worn veneers for the last 16 years, My sisters fell off, but she was diabetic and had gum problems. Mine are just perfect, very secure, BUT!!! They have discoloured with all this time and now need to be replaced. But I have not seen a dentist in the last 12 yrs. Don't need to. Just saving my money to do it again.
Only discomfort was the making the mold....
