I keep picturing my hair flowing in the wind with a flower tucked behind my ear and my gown knee length simple and goregous. I would like it to be white. I have tried Ebay and several other websites and nothing is right. I can't afford much but I know the perfect wedding dress is out there. I want a light material because I'd like an outside wedding this summer. I don't want a long shipping time if it's from online because I want to get married very soon. I'm in what they like to call a plus size so that makes things even more difficult. I prefer the sweetheart neckline but I don't have to have it. I like the capped sleeves idea, because it's cute and makes my arms look good. I don't want a "cutesy" look, or a "princess" look. I'm leaning towards an "Angel in the Garden" look. I would like any website suggestions or good stores to look for this type of dress. I don't care if it's not a "wedding" dress but I'm finding white hard to find without being a wedding dress.

I have also considered a little bit of color on my dress would be good too. I don't want to have my dress made for me. Any suggestions would be great.

Everyone here has given you great suggestions. If you still can't find what you're looking for in any of these shops, you could try finding a custom dress designer in your area to make the dress. I have a custom dress designer that I work with in the Toronto area that is really talented. I'm not sure where you live but if you're in Ontario, check out my website (below) for a link to hers.

Hope that helps.

have you gone to a bridal shop and checked out the bridesmaid's dresses in white? they could have something simple you would like and it would pass just as easily for a wedding dress. no one would ever know the difference and it would be alot cheaper.

David's Bridal carries a decent amount of variety. also, the place near me in Ohio has a good selection and they carry prom dresses. I am not sure where you are located, but here is the website http://www.ohiobride.net and i know there is a big place in PA called The Winner that is similar as well.

good luck!!

e-mail with your actual information. I just closed my bridal shop so I could focus on my consulting business and still have some inventory. I think I have gown the is new with tags but it was a sample so it has been tried on. I am asking 199 to 399 for all my gowns that are in stock. They are sold as is but are in perfect condition. I also have some other sources that I still am keeping in touch with.
Blessings

I too am getting married, and also am "plus size". I found this site to have alot of nice dresses on it, and they're not overly "bridal". Theres a few dresses in white, and some in cream. The link to the site is below....hope this has helped.

Try looking at bridesmaids dresses or separates. I too am plus sized and when I renewed my wedding vows, I bought Mori Lee separates. Eden also has a bunch of separates and I'm pretty sure you can find what you're looking for.

If you buy online just pay for fast shipping. A cool thing about online shops is most have online coupons. Whenever you buy from a place just go to yahoo and search "torried coupons" or whatever store you are shopping at and most of time you get nice coupons. (10% off, 25% off, free shipping ect)
