NO... you need to get into court before 10 years past... I had something similar happen to me and I didn't tell anyone tell almost 15 years after it happened... I went to a lawyer and he said that it would have been recent... like in the past 10 years... so do it before it is too late!!!!!!!

legally it is to old because sexually based offenses have a statute of limitations. I think different states have different limitations, though I'm not sure. so after it happens, you have a certain amount of time that you can report it and make case, but if the boy is still doing this to young girls he may have recent bad acts and could be caught and put on trial for them, it wouldn't really justify what he did to you but it could prevent this bad act from happening again. this isn't usually a one time act and it probably has happened multiple times. consult a lawyer or talk to the police, they would know what to do

I don't know what the statute of limitations is where you live, and it all depend on that, legally speaking.

Whether you can take it to court or not, you need to get some counseling. I suggest you discuss this with your parents.

I am glad that you told your mom about this and didn't keep it inside. You understand that this was not your fault at all, he was the older one and should have known better.

first of all, get a second opinion from a different lawyer just to be on the safe side. but whatever happens, get some counseling to make sure your feelings are resolved about this. this exact thing happened to me...just realize you did not do anything wrong and it's the guy that's weird. good luck!

No way. Go to the police and tell them everything. There are people being prosecuted for crimes committed 20 or 30 years ago.
