Ingredients of Ginger Ale:
Carbonated Water, Citric Acid, Flavorings, Sodium Citrate, Preservative (sodium benzoate, caramenl colours), Permitted Food Additive.
This is a mixer just like Tonic Water.
It is consumed straight for reasons mentioned by others and as a mixer in white spirits. Some love it with whiskey and campari.
I regret i am unaware of its links to your pretty face.

Like most cans of pop, it contains 16 to 21 teaspoons of sugar, which is very unhealthy for the average person. Imagine eating that much sugar from the sugar bowl and you would probably ralph. But because it is in liquid form it is easier to take, but even harder on you than granulated sugar as it is absorbed much more rapidly. "Soda Water" is merely mineral water that has been carbonated.
