Most of the time, yes.
Most of the time, the older of the pair will be anchor in the relationship, being wiser and all. 17 years a good gap for a girl in her 30s and over (i.e. the man's the one 17 years older)
If ayoung person's in a relationship with another young one, say they're both under 25; usually it takes a lot more than love to keep the two together. Young love are more fragile.

I feel that the age gap of 17 years or 2 years should not make any difference. People develop at different levels and just because there is a number it does not signify the maturity level of a person. The important thing is that two people enjoy being together and doing the same things so they can share the interest. I feel that to often the age issue prevents two people who could enjoy life and be happy together to go separate ways for fear what people will think. I am involved with a guy who is 16 years my junior and we have more common interests and enjoy being together doing things then I ever did with my husband who was the same age as I am. So people get over the age things just enjoy the one your with and live life to the fullest.

this depends on the age of the youngest. if lets say were talking 17 to 34 then no it will not work but 40 to 57 has every chance

It relies upon on the age of the more youthful important different. the hollow will develop into better accepting as both become old. at the same time as your youthful (on your little ones) the age hollow could be small. yet as you become old the hollow would not look as the form of brilliant element. and there is the remember of a persons' actual age compared to their psychological age. someone will be youthful and be mature merely as someone will be older yet nevertheless be juvenile.

My 41-year old aunt is happily married to a 65-year-old man. Their 24 year age difference seems to have no affect on their happiness.

If it is love and sex both, it will.
If the pull is only sex, it may not work.
If the senior one adds value (rich, famous etc) and if the junior one is not arrogant, it might work. Exceptions are there anyway.

Will you have anything in common? It really all depends on maturity and being able to communicate with them.
