In the book of John 4:22-24, Christ cleared up the question of how to properly worhip God by answering tha God is a spirit and he wants true worhipers to worhip him in spirit and truth. Thruout his ministry he focused a lot on this subject, explaining that people who'd be happy would be the ones "conscious of their spiritual need" or the special place in our being placed and created by our Creator craving a true connection with Him, responsible for our feeling of true fullfillment, contentment and peace of mind and joy when it's properly connected and an unexplainable emptiness when it's not...
He also explained that this "truth" he was talking about was "Your Word" (in aprayer to His Father) and "spirit" refers to worship using our mental capacities and life force in connection and accordance with God's spirit, which is His active force. That's just the beginning. I'd love to direct you to answers from the Bible if you want to read them. Hope that gives you a reasonable start on a very deep extensive subject that cannot be ansered properly that quickly but is sure vital to our well-being...

Having a close relationship with God, which consists of prayer, reading the Bible and learning all you can about it, and trying to live your life in the way that God would want you to live. Going to church also deepens that relationship, but you have to find one that goes with what you believe. Being able to share your belief with other church members is what makes it so meaningful.

First, define "spiritual." Any time someone describes a "spiritual" experience, it seems to be nothing more than an emotional one.
