I have been offered two choices that is aircraft engineering and elctonic engineering. I dont know what to choose because they both sound good. However the courses are in different institutions. The aircraft engineering course cannot be changed but the electronic engineering course can be changed to a different major.

I was in your shoes a mere 2 years ago. Both majors are equally challenging and extremely fun and exciting. It all comes down to what you like. If you enjoy physical things that you can feel and see and moving parts, aerospace is better for you. If you like energy and conceptual physics (and lots of integration) EE is more for you. Of coarse this is my personal experience and we are different people, but I chose Electrical and I love it.

The only difference, really, is one has friction and the other has resistance.

Actually, you should follow that career that most interests you and matches your aptitudes and goals.

I have been working as an engineer for 25 years so I will give you MY perspective.

I think both aircraft engineer and electronics engineer are overly specific unless you are sure that is exactly and only what you want to do. The more central engineering degrees (Electrical, Mechanical, and perhaps Chemical) often work in the aircraft and electronics industries, but are also employed in many many other industries. I think the more general engineering degrees offer more flexibility and can get you most of the places you might want to go. Also, after an undergraduate degree in one of the main disciplines, you might be in a postition to know for sure your specific interest and you could pursue an advanced degree in aircraft engineering, electronics, or something else.

Other than advertising for particular real devices (which will already be engineered by the manufacturer), you would be essentially making props for the film/TV industry, which really aren't much substance, but rather a lot of fluff made to look good and not do much as far as technology goes. Yes, an electronics engineering degree might help with that sort of career, but the ability to make pretty things will help more.

As an electronics engineer, I'm a bit prejudiced. However, I've worked with mechanical, electrical, electronic, aeronautical and others. From what I've observed, the EEs tend to have a broader appeal professional with many subdisciplines and much demand for the specialties. On the other hand, study and a constant process of education seems to be necessary unless one moves into management. Your local market (demand) and personal interest should motivate your answer as much as any other argument though. Bottom line...EEs will find jobs more easily with many avenues for specialization.

GO for aircraft engineering as there`s a lot of demand for aircraft engineers and moreover u will earn lot of money .On the contrary an electronics engineer gets not that high pay scale as well as scope is less compared to aircraft eng

Well....for me electronics engineering confuses me a whole lot. But I think that aeronautical engineering is similar to mechanical engineering. And mechanical engineering study fluids engineering, heat transfer, thermodynamics, statics and dynamics. I think you should discuss this with your high school counselor about your academic weaknesses and strenghts. I think with an electronics engineering degree it is easier to find a career. With an aeronautical engineering degree you have to be very smart with an 3.0 or above g.p.a to work for N.A.S.A or the government. This is your choice so choose wisely.

Electrical engineering will give you more options than the either two. Aircrafts and electronics are just sub-disciplines of electrical engineering.

Well just and advice, I think you should go for the electronics if you are not too sure, cos in the future you could still do your masters in aircraft if your sure of that, not so the other way round.

I say electronics engineer because it's probably funner. But relax. Don't let people choose for you. Do what you think is right for you.

i think it might be better to choose electronics engineer. but then, it is still your choice. depends on what you like. choose the one you like.
