EXAMPLE:

The best proposal I witnessed was one that was done at a professional indoor soccer game. The announcer said that it was time for one of theose fan contests. He asked all people in the stadium to stand. Then he asked all people in section 212 to remain standing. Then he asked everyone in row N to continue standing. Finally, he said that the winner of the contest was in seat number 3. The winner was instructed to look at the jumbo screen to discover her prize, and it said, "Sarah, will you marry me?" Then about four ushers came from the top of the stands carrying balloons and flowers. He got down on one knee, and the crowd went wild. (She said yes.)

Not a proposal story but thought you might enjoy hearing it. Its the story of how my parents met.

My mother was a waitress in Minneapolis, MN and had just started her shift one Janruary morning in 1959 when my father came in and ordered coffee to drink while he read the paper.

When she waited on him, he asked her if she would be interested in going out sometime. She said No, she didn't go out with guys she just met. So he asked her if he could at least walk her home at the end of her shift.
Mom, knowing that she wouldn't be off til six pm that night (it was eight am at the time) figured there'd be no way he'd stick around and walk her home. So she told him that if he was there when she got off work, he could walk her home.

According to my mother, he read every word of that Sunday paper, twice (at least) and drank a dozen or so cups of coffee waiting on her to get off work. When she got off work and he was still there, she didn't think she could do anything but let him walk her home.

After that day she started dating him on her days off and they were married on Valentines' Day, six weeks later. (She said he proposed by sending her a note asking if she'd like to "get hitched"). They got married at the court house the day after she got the note.

My sisters friend took a trip to Paris with her sister. They went up in the Eiffel tower and she was looking at the magnificent view when she noticed a hot air balloon coming towards her. As it got closer she noticed she could hear music playing and a big white sign hanging on it. Finally she could hear her bf singing her a song and playing the guitar. The sign read "When I'm with you I feel like I'm floating on air, Marry Me Tiffany". Of course she said yes. They had their first child in May and guess what they named her.... Paris.

Pink ( a singer) was watching her boyfriend at a motocross race. He was the leader, next to the last lap she held up a sign for him that said "will you marry me". Winning lap she held another up "I'm SERIOUS". After getting the checkered flag he broke the banner and rode right up to her and kissed her. Of course he said yes.

I have a kinda neat one. My brother took his girlfriend out on a date and then took her home, and after she went in he drove his truck around the corner and parked it then hoped the fence and climbed in her bedroom window, he had told her brother to keep her busy for a second in the living room then when she opened the door he was on his knee with the ring. (She said yes)
