I read somewhere that the apostle Peter or Paul (can't remember which one) used to have a glass of wine with dinner, it was supposed to be good for digestion. But over indulging (getting drunk) can kill your liver. Your liver can heal itself for a while but after a while it becomes scarred and unrecoverable and then you become jaundice (yellow) including the white of your eyes, you start to smell like a brewery then you start to die. Sad, but true, my liver got messed up using Lamasil, and now I don't drink. I used to party a lot and that contributed to making my liver enzymes high, normally they should be like under 45, and they were at 60 at one point, then I stopped partying so hard and I went down to 30, then I started taking this medicine, now I'm at 110 eeek.

Too much of it. If your one of those people who has an "alcoholic gene" it can be really bad. Alcohol nearly ruined my life not to mention I nearly died from the effects of it. My father did die from liver disease. It's just not worth it. If you EVER find that you drink to get drunk, I'd think about getting help.

No way. It can provide another type of existence for some. Then again, it can hurt if you have an addictive personality. I enjoy it, but I am not addicted to it. Problem is that I'm not addicted to anything. Sometimes I feel that's my problem because addiction can also be a sense of focus or determination on something. I live my life in a carefree way.

That depends on the amount that your body can handle it will not harm you if you only drink it rarely. But all in all YES alcohol can hurt you a lot over time and it can sometime kill you if your not carefull.

Anything that is abused is bad for you. Used in moderation is considered OK. But if it begins to take control of your life and make you lose perspective and replaces your priorities with drinking, then, it can ruin your life now & and all futuristic dreams.

Anything in excess is bad, if you know your weigh and how much you can drink, is ok, but if you go over the limit that your system can, then you have a problem.

ever heard of cirocis or liver damage. what about how it impairs your judgement, perception, vision. oh yeah and it is a depressant. so that slows down all of your body functions. if you drink enough you can cause your heart and breathing to stop and it will kill a person
