jelly has no fruit bits in it.
jam has fruit bits in it.
marmalades have fruit bits and the rinds in it.

As above for jams and jellies bit I believe Marmalade is named after a French cook who was making an orange stew for Mary Queen of Scots when she was not very well " Marie est Malade "

I assume she had a cold and needed the Vit C ..so i would guess Marmalade is made from citrus fruits.

Jelly is made with just juice. Jam is made with the entire fruit like strawberry jam. And marmalade contains peel, ordinarily non-consumed like oranges "Orange Marmalade".

sometimes none as they can all be jelly types but some fruits are not considered in various groups i.e I've never bought orange jam but do buy orange marmalade!!

Marmalade has fruit chunks in it, jam is like fruit puree and jelly is like jam only more jellied like gelatin...
