People who don't value education. In our city, the senior citizens have banded together to keep a levy from passing even though the state overseer has said the school district has to have money. I am about to enter the senior generation but I will never vote for another senior levy after the way the seniors have acted. We keep getting the excuse that people don't have children in schools anymore (or ever did). The problem is, someone paid for their education (with taxes) when they were young, why do they think they don't have a responsibility to support the children of today?

well, definetly money, there is like absolutely no financial support, it's horrible. also, drugs is a major issue, and alcohol, too. and just the in general lack of support by the community and general public. violence is also a major issue. those are some of the biggest problems in the public schools round here.

The biggest problem is obviously the parents. Parents do not support the schools. They do not reinforce the necessity of an education, nor do they support discipline in the schools. They have too much money and spend it poorly. You cannot buy quality schools without active involvement of parents.
