I can honestly say that I understand peoples hesitation to buy into medications, with all the ones they are pushing these days, but I have experienced the same as you for many many years and I began takin Paxil. It has been a totally life changing experience.
It wasnt that i went from 'mild' attacks here and there.....it was very intense and every day all day. Paxil has done wonders and I am now able to deal with nomal situations that would usually send me into turmoil anyother time, and it doesnt have all the other effects that similar meds have. It just levels that out nicely.

Yes. I'm 50 and it started about 5 years ago when I was under a lot of stress. I now take Paxil and it has helped tremendously. Panic attacks don't normally get better on theri own. You need assistance, either counseling or medical. Have you talked to your doctor? That should be your first step. Good luck!

Think of yourself as being in 2 parts body and mind soul.
When we get the butterflys in the stomach that is our central nervous system reacting.
Example: you may be in a shopping centre and out of the corner of your eye you see someone you think you know, the next minute you note that the butter flys are starting to flutter.
So you ask yourself what is it about this situation that caused me to panic or stress out.
When it is thought out the conclusion is this person is a reminder of someone many years ago who was abusive.
The sub conscious stores our garbage and little things can trigger them off.
Once your mind has found the answer each time the situation comes about you know what is causing it and you begin to heal.
It will take time but you will get there.
If you find that you are really not coping then a trip to a phsyciatrist may be needed.
Take care !

Yes, I've experienced these things. I've even had high blood pressure and bloody noses due to anxiety. Seek help from a psychiatrist. Try some anxiety medications. There are some good ones out there.

yes this happens to many people. it is really bad when you think you are having a heart attack from the palpitations and you feel death lingering. alot of it is mind over matter. i try to tell myself my mind is running away with me but once i pass a point i have to take a valium or have a drink to calm myself down. weed makes it worse. i think the flight verses fight kicks in on some people some times and you start to panic. hope this helped

This seems series and a doctor may be required but if you don't want to see one there are a number of herbal remdies you can use. Kava, St. John's worts, but panic attacks often require the attention of a psychologist.

Those are classic symptoms of a panic attack. When I've had them, I honestly believed that I was going to die any minute. There are a number of meds that can be used to treat anxiety. Talk to your doctor about it. You don't need to keep suffering.

There are solutions besides drugs, if you don't want to go that route. Breathing exercies can help, maybe visualizing a happy place. Nothing complex just breathe in through your nose, hold it for a few seconds, out through your mouth. You tend to breathe fast when panicking, so concentrating on it and slowing it down can really help.

I am close to your age and quit having them.
Music helped.
A different outlook ( no problem is that important)
Taking time out for me.
Not caring so much about what others think.
Exercise.
Not getting as mad or carrying ANY grudges.
Hope that helps. I really feel bad for you.
Give yourself some time to change. It takes a while.
