Disagree. I think it's a book of fairytales designed to control people.

I do not think that every word of the Bible was a direct dictation. God told the writers what he wanted them to write, but he gave them some liberty in the words that they used.

The Bible can be taken literally and figuratively. Some passages can be taken only one way, but most of it can be read both ways.

I disagree. I believe it to be The Word Of God but the parables are a perfect example of not taking things literally.

The bible is a book of mythology and is only the word of God if one accepts the fact that God is an invention of the human mind.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" 1 Timothy 3:16

" As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began" Luke 1:70

"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (God's spirit) 2 Peter 1:21

"Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue." 2 Samuel 23:2

From these few Scriptures alone , I totally agree

I agree the Bible is God inspired and written by the holy sprit through man. It is our rule book and God's promise of love and salvation to us.

I agree that it's God-inspired & that it's completely believed but no, I do not agree that everything in it is to be taken literally: some of it is symbolic & some of it doesn't apply to us anymore.

I disagree. I think of it as a metaphor, and where you draw the line of truth from fiction differs from people, I draw it as God does not exist, while others may keep the idea of Jesus and God, or just God, or whatever they may choose.

Look for the bible called "Q", it contains the actual words of Christ. No one else.

no. the bible is a collection of stories that have been translated into different languages and interpreted by man. the basic stories and lessons are all good though. just love and respect everyone and yourself. that's the basic message of all religions.
