As long as people believe in mythical creatures, like God, civilization as a whole slows down, mainly because some people are unwilling to give up dogma, such as, 'God created everything.'

How much farther along in technological progress would our civilization be if there had not been about 400 years of religious oppression against science?

No one can destroy your belief in God...that's something you end up doing because someone/something brainwashed you into another belief. And as far as destroying God - you can't destroy something that was never there.

They can try all they want, but God cannot be destroyed. I don't know why some people try to turn us away from God. I stand firm in my belief in God, the death of Jesus on the cross for our sins, and that I will spend eternity with Him in heaven. I pray for those who don't believe that they will come to Christ before it's too late.

People are people and they always have something to say. Remember people can only destroy what you doubt. If you know what you believe there is no way in this earth that some one can destroy that. Another one God is omnipotent and omnipresent. Which means that he is all-knowing and He is everywhere. No one can Destroy God.

We're not trying to destroy your belief in God Per Se, but simply engage in open debate for the... intellectual better of everybody involved. I know I don't expect to change any body's opinion and I don't expect to change my own opinion. But I can broaden my horizons with it, and that's all I hope to accomplish for others, and if a few people change their beliefs along the way, that's fine with me, and if they don't, I couldn't care less.
