It's just an alternative in looking for someone...in no way is it better or worse then going out some place to meet someone. You can learn a lot from someone online in a shorter amount of time then you can anywhere else. Saves people from wasting their time and lessens the chance of getting hurt or disappointed.

~About the "cant meet anyone" that is absolutely untrue. I met my boyfriend on yahoo!! LOL of all places.. and I'm very attractive so is he! But dating sites as well as the internet can be risky.. alot of people lie about their ages and other things. So if you are trying to meet someone... just be sure that you aren't naive. Have fun with it and don't expect alot. You never know.. you could meet Mr. or Mrs. Wonderful.~

From first hand Experience they are just looking for friends. And as many dates they can get taken on in a week. They are not looking for love, most of them anyway. If they found love that would mean they would have to quit dating. They are hooked on dating all those freebees with all the men trying to impress them.
