The best way to have a relationship with Jesus is to do as he did and genuinely love unconditionally every man, woman, boy and girl no matter their race, social status, bank account, language, culture or country. Do you really even know what love is? You've asked many other questions that have a youthful undertone. As a "woman" Christian I love God and his son Jesus Christ because God chose me to reveal himself to and Jesus died for me so that I can have eternal life, and enjoy the journey here on Earth until that time comes. The Journey sweetie, that's the good part when you do it right, but you have to read the Manual( the Bible) and pray for guidance to make the right choices along the way. Then the GREAT part comes when we are joined with God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit and all the Heavenly Host. Now, that's love!!!

I see Jesus as more of a father figure, There's nothing wrong with wanting the perfect man, but in the Bible, I forgot what book, there is a verse that says something like no one shall desire him. Meaning the women wont look at him like they do their husbands. I do know what you mean, God is indeed perfect! And I'm glad you are close to him, keep your faith, there's no wrong with that either.

The perfect man? Oh yes indeed, He never sinned.
The perfect husband? Oh heck no hon lol. He was gone most of the time, accompanied by His best buddies (yes all TWELVE of them) 24/7, He couldn't go to a party without someone wanting Him to make wine or something.
lol sweetie, He's a great brother to have, but He'd have been a rotten husband lol.

I used to think that until I realized God wanted ME to be more like Jesus Christ and let Him deal with my husbands faults.

A perfect man deserves a perfect woman... none of us are qualified sugar... Look for the best man but don't set your sights so high that you miss the earthly blessing God has for you. Your man will not be perfect, but perfect for you!

Christ's calling to every believer is that we ARE to be, as close as we allow him to make us, just like Himself.
When a TRUE christian man marries he is commanded to love his wife as much as Jesus love's His body, the church.
And that is one heck of a daughting task for any fallen man.

Theres already something in place for that. Its called religious orders, and lets women devote their lives to Christ, and live in a community of other such "brides".

Occasionally I will reference religion as a pathological disorder, on par with certain chemical addictions.
You have provided me with a wonderful example and I will link to this questio in the future. Thank you.

Not really. I love Him, too, but...
To me, a husband and wife should be a little (ok, a lot) more equal than Jesus and I would be...
Another way to put it- He's way out of my league.

We are to desire all that is right and pure in a man. Jesus was the shinning example of what "men" should be.
