Are you afraid? Cause if you are just find a shallow pool, get accustomed to it and slowly, slowly move yourself into a bit deeper water. Do it all gradually. Pretty soon youll be in the 11 feet.
But you might want swimming lessons first.

If you want to learn to swim contact your local YMCA or community pool and take lessons. After you know how you will probably be able to use their pool. Good luck.

move your arms and legs in the water..and you will swim..or put a dog in the water and watch him..then follow what he does..
You are now "Doggy paddling"
it's pretty fun actually.
